Oshawa Remembers
The Foundation for Building Sustainable Communities(FBSC) is spearheading the Oshawa Remembers Project with financial support from Veteran Affairs, Canada Remembers, Community Engagement Fund, local partners and individuals. All of us believe that the words and stories of our Canadian veterans have historical and personal value to current and future generations.
According to the Veterans History Project, US Library of Congress, more than 1,200 WW 2 and Korean war veterans are dying each day. The collection become even more important as these valiant soldiers pass on, a great loss of personal insights, stories and memories.
The Oshawa Remembers Project is a audio narrative project with an onus on short and POV(Point of View) stories. The stories are personal stories of an direct experience or an indirect story about a third party.
