		<description>I tend to agree with the Star article. We need to deal with our garbage in our own back yard. Yes! we should step up reduce, reuse, and recycle but there will always be &quot;garbage&quot; left over ... medical waste for example. Today we use many disposable plastics etc. so as not to take chances with transmitting HIV or other nasty germs between patients and staff, and to reduce the accidents with reuseable sharps. These items are autoclaved into a melted lump but then need to be disposed of. Should we bury this mess or cleanly burn it and capture the combustion energy? If we use the best of technology, control emissions, AND generate useable energy we win. Our garbage should not be another community&#039;s problem. We need an integrated garbage plan that is not complicated, one that residents will easily comply with and not dump clandestinely.</description>
