Peacekeepers Day was established by the United Nations to honour those who serve in Peacekeeping Mission worldwide.

The 2011 theme is Korea Remmebered.

The Forgotten War, Remembered

This year, we pay respect to Veterans, who made a significant role in protecting the Korean People in 1950 and clear the way for UN Forces.

There were 55,000 Canadian Peacekeepers who served in Korea and more than 500 never returned, but not forgotten.

Since the end of the Korean War, many Oshawa Peacekeepers have developed close relationship with the Korean Community.
